Purpose Statement

Gemini's HR Business Partner provides a full HR service to the organization in both a hands-on and strategic fashion. The role is designed to support and help sustain our people-first culture by driving HR initiatives in alignment with business objectives, managing projects cross functionally, recruiting, onboarding, and developing people, ensuring functional excellence, and providing a positive internal customer experience.

50% - Recruiting

  • Process the full recruitment cycle to ensure consistency and equity, great job fit, end-to-end recruitment process for various roles within the organization, including job postings, sourcing, screening, interviewing, and hiring. This includes onboarding and exit interviews.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and develop effective recruitment strategies.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with candidates and external recruiting partners.

40% - HR Operations

  • Coordinate and deliver training sessions on topics such as onboarding, leadership development, technical skills, and compliance.
  • Support performance management processes, including goal setting, performance evaluations, and development planning.
  • Provide guidance and coaching to managers and employees on performance-related matters.
  • Handle employee relations issues professionally and confidentially, fostering a positive work environment.
  • Facilitate leadership development training sessions and partner on the development of new training programs that align with business objectives and employee development plans.
  • Participate in and/or lead cross-functional projects.
  • Deliver excellent experiences to internal customers on all HR-related matters.
  • Effectively communicate HR process and improvements that strive to continuously add value and support the accomplishment of business objectives.

5% - Compliance and Safety

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify compliance gaps and implement corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with safety committees to promote and maintain a safe working environment.

5% Community Service

  • Represent the organization as a professional in the community and marketplace, and support community service initiatives and volunteer activities.
  • Promote a culture of corporate social responsibility and community involvement.
  • Support charitable giving efforts that support the Gemini goal of being a good corporate citizen.

Skills and Abilities

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Learning orientation, a willingness to take on new assignments and openness to feedback.
  • Willing to travel periodically throughout the year to Gemini sites (U.S.).
  • Knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws, and compliance requirements.
  • Experience in developing and delivering training programs is preferred.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.

Qualifications - Education & Experience

  • Proven experience as an HR Generalist or in a similar HR role, with a strong background in recruiting, training, and HR operations.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP or PHR, or HRCI) preferred.
  • 4+ years of progressive experience in HR and/or Leadership.
  • Bilingual - English/Spanish preferred.
