Job Type: RegularExecutive Administrative Assistant to the Vice President, Global and Emerging Risks Position Description An exceptional opportunity exists to provide high-level executive administrative support to the Vice President, Global and Emerging Risks in RAND's Washington D.C. office. This position requires discretion and professional demeanor, strong organizational skills, capacity to work both independently and directly with the office of the Vice President, Global and Emerging Risks and its stakeholders both inside and outside of RAND, the ability to handle multiple tasks within time constraints, and good judgment in prioritizing a wide range of support responsibilities. In addition, an important component of this position requires working closely with the other corporate officers and their assistants in handling a variety of material and subject matter of a sensitive and confidential nature as well as general administrative responsibilities. As Global and Emerging Risks is a new division at RAND, one of the responsibilities of the Executive Administrative Assistant role will be to assist the Vice President, Global and Emerging Risks establish and implement administrative processes for the division. Other responsibilities at the desk will include, but are not limited to, scheduling, planning, and supporting meetings, events, travel. Corporate duties may also include providing assistance with corporate-related functions as well as being available to assist with any overflow work and/or to provide general back-up assistance to the executive officers, as needed. Qualifications The successful candidate will be a self-starterwith the ability to work independently, exhibit good judgment and possess the ability to multitask and prioritize with minimal direction. The position requires a minimumof six-years of high-level executive administrative experience and demonstrated exceptional organizational, communication and interpersonal skills. A strong sense of discretion is required in dealing with sensitive and confidential issues. Attention to detail and accuracy is essential. It is also essential that the individual be a team player and be able to demonstrate tact, courtesy, and judgment in working with all levels of individuals within and outside of RAND. Experience Must have a minimum of 6 years of relevant high level administrative support experience. A BA/BS degree may be considered to count for 2 of the 6 years of experience. Education High School Diploma or GED required. BA/BS degree preferred. Security Clearance US Citizenship is required to obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearance. Location Washington D.C. Office; may be able to work one day per week from home. Salary Range: $75,700 - $109,900 RAND considers a variety of factors when formulating an offer, including but not limited to, the specific role and associated responsibilities; a candidate's work experience, education/training, skills, expertise; and internal equity.This position is overtime eligible. Successful candidates will be offered employment in a specific title, as determined by the candidate's education and experience.
