Working independently and under general supervision of a Research Manager, Post-Doctoral Fellow, or Principal Investigator and following established policies and procedures, provides support to research studies being carried out in the department.
- Initiates and maintains contact with study participants. -Interact with patients/subjects with regard to study. -Coordinates in-lab visits. -Makes sure that specimens are handled in the order of established priority. -Responsible for transcribing all protocols and preparing all required paperwork. -Prepares and maintains regulatory documentation for group. -This includes IRB applications, amendments, and continuing reviews, study standards of practice. -Trains and mentors new staff. -Responsible for uploading patient's samples information into database systems. Education Bachelor's Degree Related Field of Study required Can this role accept experience in lieu of a degree? No Licenses and Credentials Experience Previous Research Lab Experience 1-2 years required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities - Ability to work independently. - Excellent interpersonal skills. - Good oral and written communication skills. - Analytical skills and the ability to resolve technical or research problems and issues and to interpret the acceptability of data results. - Knowledge of research protocols. - Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize a variety of tasks.
