Golf Course - Outside Operations Shift Captain - Full Time - Port St. Lucie, FL We are currently hiring for Outside Operations Shift Captain who is responsible for ensuring all systems, checklists, standards, and service levels are completed and commensurate with the PGA of America brand. Represent the PGA of America in the utmost professional manner.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Communicate and coordinate the operation based on the daily activity levels, events, and special programs.
Complete daily checklist(s) to ensure standards of operation remain consistent with brand.
Lead by example to ensure each member and guest receive a golf experience commensurate with the PGA of America brand.
Greet arriving member or guest positively with a friendly welcome.
Address golfers by name (Mr.) or (Mrs.) if known, and (Sir) and (Madam) if unknown.
Unplug golf cars and fill ice coolers with one and one-half scoops of ice; bring golf cars to stage area and ready for use.
Lift golf bags out of vehicles and carry to the bag rack, then load bags onto golf cars. All bags left at the bad drop must be attended until picked up by a member or guest.
Clean clubs coming off the course and place golf bags in rack and into vehicle.
Clean and wash golf cars, ashtrays, coolers, and wipe out before car is put away at night, or before car goes out for a second round.
Clean the golf car facility floor and drain and keep outside area tidy and free of clutter.
Assure that the golf car facility is locked before closing each night.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This job has no supervisory responsibilities. This position will assist management in overseeing daily standards of operation.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); Six months prior experience or training as an Outside Operations Staff member.

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write. simple sentences. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, and ratios to practical situations.

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
