Demand Planner

OVERVIEW:

The Demand Planner plays a critical role in ensuring that our manufacturing operations run smoothly and efficiently by accurately forecasting product demand. This position is responsible for analyzing market trends, historical sales data, and inventory levels to create precise demand forecasts that align with production schedules. The ultimate goal is to optimize inventory levels, reduce excess stock, and minimize stockouts, thereby enhancing customer satisfaction and operational efficiency. The Demand Planner will collaborate closely with various departments, including sales, marketing, and production, to ensure that all stakeholders are aligned with the demand strategy. By effectively managing demand planning processes, this role directly contributes to the overall success and profitability of the organization.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Proven experience in demand planning or inventory management within a manufacturing environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification in Demand Planning or Supply Chain Management (e.g., APICS CPIM, CSCP).
• Experience with demand planning software and tools.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze historical sales data and market trends to develop accurate demand forecasts.
• Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to gather insights and adjust forecasts based on promotional activities.
• Monitor inventory levels and adjust production schedules to meet forecasted demand.
• Utilize inventory optimization techniques to minimize excess stock and reduce costs.
• Prepare and present demand planning reports to management and stakeholders.

Skills:

The required skill of inventory optimization is essential for the Demand Planner to effectively manage stock levels and ensure that production meets customer demand without overstocking. Daily tasks will involve analyzing data to identify trends and patterns, which requires strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
