PHARMACY TECH (NON-CERT) (PER DIEM)

Desert View Hospital is a 25-bed, acute care hospital set in a rural community. Desert View provides safe and competent nursing care for patients in accordance with facility policies, standards, and philosophy. Job Description: Pharmacy Technicians, under the supervision of a license pharmacist, assist in the various activities of the pharmacy
department. Pharmacy Technicians assist the pharmacists in preparing and distributing medications, maintaining the
drug inventory and maintenance of records. Pharmacy Technicians function in accordance with standard written
procedures, guidelines and state and federal regulations. They do not perform duties that can legally be performed
only by a registered pharmacist.

Education: High School diploma or equivalent preferred. One (1) year in a Technical School preferred.

Experience: Minimum of one (1) year required, preferable in a hospital setting.

Technical Skills: Automation experience with knowledge of reporting features (i.e., optimization, load/unload, nursing narcotic access, etc.)

License/Certification: Current license as Pharmacy Technician in the State of Nevada.
