Overview

LMI is seeking a Software Developer to support our customers' configuration and development objectives. This is a hybrid position reporting to USPS Merrifield, VA facility. A successful software developer will demonstrate competency in Microsoft C#.Net and understand the full software development life cycle (SDLC) while upholding the highest standard of ethical behavior.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

    Designs, modifies, develops, writes, and implements software programming applications.
  • Familiar with SDLC, designs, plans, and coordinates work teams.
  • Supports and/or installs software applications/operating systems.
  • To be able to write instruction for deploying developed software to different environments.
  • To be able to debug or troubleshoot application issue independently.
  • A wide degree of creativity and attitude is expected for fast-paced R&D environments.
  • Typically reports to the team lead of the development group.


Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated competency with Microsoft C# programming language with .Net platform.
  • Skillful with Microsoft Visual Studio IDE with source control software TFS (Team Foundation Server)
  • Adept with C# web application design.
  • Proven ability to deliver products and experience working in an Agile software development lifecycle.
  • Strong familiarity with C#.Net Oracle database interface design, and SQL commands.
  • This position requires five (5) or more years' work experience.
  • Ability obtain and maintain a USPS Public trust clearance.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experienced with Microsoft Entity Framework.
  • Working knowledge of web services/web API design.
  • Knowledge and skill in application of section 508 compliance in UI design
  • Microsoft Windows system, e.g., Win10/11, Windows Servers experience.
  • Knowledge of Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF).
  • Experience with UI interface design technologies is a plus, e.g., speech recognition, text to speech, and so on.
  • Bachelor's Degree, preferably in area of specialty
  • Knowledge of other programming languages is a plus.

Work Location:

  • Position requires 2 day per week minimum at USPS Merrifield, VA location.

Salary range: $77-120k. Final salary will be determined based on qualifications and experience.
