Job Title: Pyspark/Databricks Tech Lead

Tech Lead with over 10 years of experience, specializing in Databricks CLI, Python, Databricks SQL, Databricks Delta Lake, and Databricks Workflows. This hybrid role requires a deep understanding of data architecture and the ability to craft and implement scalable solutions. Experience in Agile environments and leading MDM programs is a valuable addition.

  • Technical Skills: Python, Databricks Workflows, Databricks CLI, Databricks Delta Lake, Databricks SQL
Responsibilities:
  • Own the design and implementation of data architecture solutions using Databricks CLI, Python, Databricks SQL, Databricks Delta Lake, and Databricks Workflows.
  • Lead all aspects of the development and deployment of scalable data pipelines and workflows.
  • Provide technical mentorship and support to the development team in using Databricks tools and technologies.
  • Collaborate with multi-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Ensure data integrity, quality, and security across all data processing activities.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for data architecture, processes, and standard methodologies.
  • Optimize data storage and retrieval processes to enhance performance and efficiency.
  • Conduct code reviews and ensure alignment with coding standards and practices.
  • Resolving and fixing technical issues related to data architecture and workflows.
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in Databricks technologies and incorporate them into the architecture.
  • Participate in project planning and provide estimates for data-related tasks.
  • Mentor and train junior team members on Databricks tools using standard methodologies.
  • Supply to the continuous improvement of data architecture processes and methodologies.
  • Possess extensive experience with Databricks CLI, Python, Databricks SQL, Databricks Delta Lake, and Databricks Workflows.
  • Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and the ability to fix sophisticated technical issues.
  • Demonstrate good communication and teamwork skills to effectively work with multi-functional teams.
  • Acquire a thorough knowledge of data architecture principles and standard processes.
  • Show proficiency in designing and implementing scalable data solutions.
  • Display a commitment to maintaining data integrity, quality, and security.
  • Be capable of mentoring and training junior team members.
  • Know the latest advancements in Databricks technologies and industry trends.
  • Have a proven track record of successfully leading data architecture projects.
  • Highlight the expertise in detailing processes using standard methodologies.
  • Show experience in optimizing data storage and retrieval processes.
  • Possess strong project planning and estimation skills.
  • Be able to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this role is between $81,848 to $180,000 depending on the experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This job is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and is subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
