General Summary of Position Senior Level Gift Officer who can independently be responsible for identifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding a portfolio of major gift prospects scaling over time to annual fundraising expectation of $1M. Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Manages a portfolio of major gift prospects.Develops and implements thoughtful, strategic cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship plans for prospective donors for gifts of $100K+.Ensures regular contact with donors through various activities and communications, especially face to face meetings.Develops and manages timelines for various fundraising activities to ensure plans and critical fundraising processes are carried out in a timely mannerDevelops expertise in strategically aligned priorities of the healthcare system. Assists physicians, program directors and administration with capital and programmatic funding needs.Manages internal and external key stakeholder relationships. Meets annual activity and financial performance metrics.Ensure that all donor contact is reported in the CRM.
Minimum Qualifications Education
- Bachelor's degree in related field required

Experience
- 5-7 years Experience in philanthropy, ideally within a health system setting required
- One year of relevant professional-level work experience may be substituted for one year of required education.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Strong verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrated success in soliciting, negotiating, and closing gifts. Experience with planned giving. Knowledge of Raiser's Edge fundraising software. Strong organizational skills. Acumen to engage and support senior leadership, staff, and volunteers in fundraising. A high level of professionalism, creativity, and integrity coupled with an ability to earn the confidence of a wide range of constituencies and develop relationships with key stakeholders.
