Description Mativ in Pittsfield, MA is looking for a Manufacturing Intern to join our team this summer. This internship is a great opportunity to get exposure to different manufacturing processes.We are looking for a curious and driven intern with a basic understanding of process engineering principles. The Mativ Summer Internship Program is scheduled to start onMay 19, 2025 - August 8, 2025. Our paid internship offers a well-rounded experience including meaningful work, a dedicated intern manager, professional development, and more. responsibilities In this position, the intern will report to the Manufacturing Manager and have an opportunity to be a part of the Filtration and Advanced Materials segment. Key responsibilities in this role include: Create presentations to be used for the continuous improvement of the manufacturing processes related to non-woven, wet-laid paper making and saturation. Compile and display data to support recommendations for improvement. Estimate cost savings related to recommendations. Continuously seek opportunities to improve processes and enhance the manufacturing process. qualifications Required: Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Paper Science, Industrial Engineering, or a related major. Minimum GPA-3.0. Intermediate MS Excel skills with willingness to learn. Strong skills with PowerPoint and other MS Suite products. Demonstrated oral and written communication skills. Ideal candidates will possess high initiative and drive, with a curiosity to perpetually learn and improve our business. Key requirements include the ability to analyze information to find opportunities, effectively communicate, and work collaboratively in a team setting.
