Job Description:
The School District of Milton is seeking a self-motivated, energetic individual for a School Counselor position at Northside Intermediate School (fourth through sixth grade). This position will begin August 2025. Come join our team in educating and guiding our students to success in the future! A competitive starting salary of $58,816 (2024-25 starting salary) is offered for a 190-day contract for individuals that have a Master's degree. Additional compensation is available for candidates with prior years of teaching experience in public education and additional education beyond a Master's degree. A competitive benefits package is also included. Qualifications: The School District of Milton is seeking an individual who understands the barriers to student learning and the use of counseling strategies to eliminate these barriers for fourth grade through sixth grade students. Candidates should be organized, flexible, have strong communications skills, and the ability to work with all students. The ideal candidate will collaborate with teachers, parents and staff to enhance their effectiveness in supporting students. In addition, the school counselor will assist with assessment coordination and provide support to other building initiatives and programs. It is import to note, that the ideal candidate should be able to support universal instruction in the social-emotional competencies as well as lead small groups based on student needs. Applicants must hold or be eligible for WI DPI Certification in School Counselor - 7054.
