About the Opportunity

DMI, LLC is looking for a Atlassian Tools Administrator / Systems Administrator to work with a team of engineers and users to administer, patch, and maintain the Atlassian tools environment across several different networks; is responsible for the accounting and administration of the tools for these different network environments, and assures up-to-date patching and hardening systems in the DoD environment. Independently plans, schedules, and conducts or coordinates details of all phases of engineering projects. Selects, adapts, and modifies, techniques, procedures, and criteria to improve systems and processes. Analyzes complex work features and applies principles and practices of the discipline or devises new approaches to problem solutions. Thoroughly reviews all results from assigned tasks and determines if outputs are complete, correct, integrated with project objectives, and adequately documented.

Typical Duties Include:

    Work with Agile teams (developers, testers, operators, and other production IT staff to oversee code releases and deployments.)
  • Foster agile relationship between software development, users, and IT operations establish and refine Continuous Integration (CI) and automation (key processes, release schedules, and infrastructure designs) so that organization can create and release regular updates to products quickly and efficiently as possible.
  • Attend and Participate in Periodic Large Scale Agile Planning events.
  • Support standard Agile ritual meetings (Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Backlog Grooming, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives) as necessary and assist Scrum teams in the execution of Sprints.
  • Administering Atlassian tools - JIRA, Confluence, BitBucket
  • GitHub experience helpful
  • Ability to learn systems outside of Atlassian Suite for administration


Qualifications

Education and Years of Experience:

  • Experience working with various teams to build and deploy servers and applications and other continuous integration (CI)workflows.
  • 3-5 years of experience working with the Atlassian Tools Suite - (Jira, Bitbucket, Confluence, Bamboo, Crucible/Fisheye)
  • Experience with System/Tool Administration
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

Required and Desired Skills/Certifications:

  • Experience with SQL and java.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to identify technical requirements and potential problems, issues, and solutions. Experience with one or more of the following programming languages: Python, Java, C++
  • DevSecOps Toolchain Experience: Nexus/Artifactory, Checkmarx (or other SAST tool), ANT, Maven, jUnit, Ansible
  • Relational database administration (such as MySQL, MSSQL, or Postgres)
  • Strong IT hardware and operations background with hands-on expertise in servers, storage and network device installation, provisioning, and monitoring
  • Virtualization experience with Hyper-V, Citrix, or VMware implementing, configuring or administrating.
  • Agile software development, DevSecOps best practices, and CI/CD pipeline experience is a plus
  • Windows server administration
