About the Job

Brightly is a leading innovator in asset management solutions dedicated to delivering innovative solutions that drive efficiency and growth. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Product Owner with expertise in GIS, Spatial, and ESRI technologies to join our team.

The Product Owner is a crucial member of an agile team that ensures that Product Management's product vision and business strategy are implemented, thus driving growth. The product owner will consume roadmap and product backlog items, turn them into high-value solutions, and implement them with the development teams using agile methodologies.

What you will do
  • Develop solutions to real-world market problems identified by Product Management's roadmap in the building a best-in-class spatial experience for our clients.
  • Implement agile methodologies to fully develop solutions via story breakdown and agile ceremonies as a key member of an agile team in accordance with release goals, roadmap, and associated timelines/dependencies.
  • Coordinate GIS development priorities across multiple products and engineering teams
  • Participate in feature discovery with customers and the market and leverage this information to drive valuable solutions.
  • Maintain a healthy, prioritized backlog of work for the development team to work from.
  • Serve as the customer client experience champion and partner with UX/design, product counterparts, and professional services to deliver delightful user experiences across all customer touchpoints.
  • Diligently monitor KPI metrics and drive continuous improvements within the agile team.
  • Act as a bridge between technical teams, business partners, and customers to ensure alignment on GIS product capabilities.
  • Support spatial data management strategies, including geo-database design, data governance, and metadata management.
  • Work on optimizing spatial queries, performance, and analytics for ESRI-based GIS applications

The pay range for this position is $82,000-$110,000. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications and premium geographic location.
What you need
  • BA/BS in a technical subject area like information science, geology, computer science or equivalent work experience supporting products with a focus on GIS and spatial data products.
  • 1-3 Years of experience as a Product Owner
  • Strong knowledge of ESRI software and tools, including ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Enterprise.
  • Experience with cloud-based GIS solutions, and spatial data analysis, and spatial integrations with familiarity with other GIS software and tools (e.g., QGIS, ESRI, MapInfo).
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and tools (e.g., Scrum, Kanban, JIRA).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
