Job Posting: Front Desk Clerk Location: National Church Residences - Supportive Housing National Church Residences is seeking a responsible, detail-oriented Front Desk Clerk to join our team in Supportive Housing. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and security of our building and its residents by adhering to building policies, procedures, and safety protocols. You will:
- Monitor traffic through the lobby and ensure all guests check in and out, showing proper identification while following building rules.
- Accept and account for rental payments.
- Stay alert at all times and log occurrences during shifts.
- Follow all procedures in the desk manual.
- Sort and distribute mail in a timely manner.
- Conduct periodic inspections of common areas and report any hazardous conditions.
- Report emergency situations and safety hazards to management, following all safety precautions.
- Maintain a professional appearance and clean lobby area.
- Enter maintenance requests and follow up on emergency requests.
You have:
- Minimum 1 year of relevant work experience.
- High School Degree or GED required.
- Strong customer service skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a team and independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent communication skills (both oral and written).
- Basic math and organizational skills.
- Conflict mediation and resolution abilities.
- Understanding of low-income or homeless populations and their specific needs.
- Knowledge of crisis prevention and intervention techniques.
