Responsibilities
The Graduate Assistant Residence Hall Director will have the opportunity to develop their managerial skills by assisting staff in directing the activities and supervision of residence life of Marian Hall, a first-year residence hall at the University of St. Francis. It is expected that the Graduate Assistant will work collaboratively within the Division of Mission Integration to promote the University's mission by creating a safe, welcoming, and vibrant residential learning community.

RESPONSIBILITIES
* Uphold and fulfill the mission, vision, values, and traditions of the University of St. Francis;
* Provide leadership and management of residence education for residence halls specifically first-year students in Marian Residence Hall.
* Provide direct supervision to department resident assistants
* Serve in the residential on-call rotation for the institution. Work collaboratively with Security, Health and Counseling Services, VP of Student Affairs, and local police when necessary.
* Enact the crisis team when appropriate based on student emergencies.
* Collaborate with the Director of University Ministry in providing opportunities for spiritual growth for all students; Collaborate with the Offices of Student Life, University Ministry, and Wellness in providing residents with a vibrant student affairs curriculum and spiritual growth opportunities.
* Collaborate with Student Life and University Ministry in establishing an active relationship between the Resident Assistants and Peer Ministers.
* Manage billing for damage charges and cancellations fees in collaborations with business office.
* Assist with annual departmental processes including student leader recruitment, trainings and housing assignments
* Assist with coordinating summer housing placement for University students and outside groups as requested;
* Create an atmosphere that is supportive of the university and its goals;
* Represent and uphold the image of the University of St. Francis to the community;
* Carry out other assignments as designated by the Dean of Student Life.
* Participate in and promote a culture of continuing quality improvement.
This position is required to reside in the designated residence hall staff apartment and serve in the residence life on-call duty rotation. While on-call, staff must be able to respond in-person to campus emergencies within 15 minutes.
Qualifications
MINIMUM REQUIREMENT
* Willingness to uphold and fulfill the mission, vision, values and traditions of the University of St. Francis.
* Bachelor's degree (or Bachelor's degree in progress at the time of application to be completed prior to the start of employment).
* Admitted to a Master's program at USF (or intending to apply for admission at the time of application; employment contingent on admission); continuing USF students must have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0.
* All applicants must be in good standing with USF with regards to academic, disciplinary and financial matters.
* Demonstrated leadership abilities; administrative and organizational skills.
* Able to work independently with minimal daily supervision.
* Willingness to work nights and weekends.
* High degree of interpersonal skills gained through professional experience or training.
* Knowledge of computer applications such as MS Office Suite.

PREFERRED REQUIREMENT
* Prior experience with residence life and student life.
Pay Rate Hourly $5000 annual stipend
Benefits Full year tuition remission (100% of nine (9) credit hours per semester, with a limit of eighteen (18) credit hours per academic year), $5,000 annual stipend paid for 20 hours of work per week, On-campus staff apartment
Hours / Week 20 per week office hours, plus on-call residence life rotation; 11-month position.
