Job Summary:

The Southwest Healthcare Regional office in Temecula, CA is seeking a Full-Time Physician Relations Manager who will be responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with Physicians/Practices in a defined service area through consistent, strategic field call strategies. Duties include but not limited to:

  • Working cohesively with leadership and internal service line Administrators to drive and sustain growth in procedural services aligned with the Local, Regional, and Enterprise business plans.
  • Participates in strategic planning and identification of physician targets to achieve this growth through utilization of UHS's data analytic tools.
  • Delivers updated performance reports to leadership on a monthly basis.
  • Responsible for both field visits to physicians and referral staff in offices, as well as regular interaction with facility executive Leaders and service line Administrators.
  • Represent the company as both advocate and liaison between ambulatory practices and local hospital Facility. Troubleshoots access difficulties/problems between community physicians and the Hospital. Coordinates timely follow up back to practices to communicate issue resolution.
  • Participates in Facility Strategy, Marketing, and Development planning committees and regular meetings.
  • Facilitates and participates in physician events, symposiums, health fairs, and other physician related events.

Qualifications

Experience/Training/Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or related field, from an accredited four-year program required.
  • Three years working experience in Healthcare setting. Experience with Physician Relations, Business Development, and or Strategic Planning required.

Certifications/Licenses:

  • Must have valid California Driver's License.

Other Skills and Abilities:

  • Demonstrates knowledge and ensures compliance with the Joint Commission and Title 22 standards and guidelines.
  • Demonstrates compliance with healthcare policies and procedures at all times.
  • Demonstrates strong leadership, organization, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrates ability to relate to clinical personnel and medical staff, as well as ability to interact well with the public.
  • Must have knowledge of PC and applications.
  • Ability to demonstrate effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively and gain credibility with Physicians and staff. Demonstrate skill cultivate relationships by building affinity and loyalty of referral sources over time.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand the larger vision of the organization in the changing healthcare environment.
  • A professional image reflected in appearance, and behavior.
  • Willingness to accommodate physician's schedules, which may occasionally fall outside standard office hours
