The Content Strategist is an experienced writer, editor, and strategic thinker who thoroughly understands online and print marketing channels.
This person is adept at applying industry best practices, creative skill, and in-house style to produce content that effectively engages members of various key audiences, including current and potential patients, families, caregivers, current and potential referring providers, community members and stakeholders, strategic partners, and internal team members. The content consistently leads to increased user and patient volumes and engagement and elevates UVA Health's local, regional, and national reputation. The Content Strategist is responsible for cultivating current and robust fluency in the goals and applications of content strategy to drive data-driven content development. Additionally, this person employs a range of research methods to contribute to an inclusive and in-depth understanding of key audience needs. They use this understanding to determine appropriate tactics that target key entry points in the patient journey. Collaborating with other marketing team members, this person will develop, recommend, and implement plans for generating purposeful and effective content across channels that meet internal requirements and strategic objectives.
