Description
POSITION: Credentialing & AR Specialist

DEPARTMENT: "Finance" (Hybrid)

Starting Salary: $20 - $22 (Hourly)

(Starting salary depends on education and experience)

We are seeking a Credentialing and Accounts Receivable (AR) Specialist to support the credentialing process and medical claims management. This role involves collecting and verifying provider documents, submitting credentialing applications, and ensuring timely renewals to maintain compliance. The specialist will maintain accurate records, document credentialing activities, and participate in meetings to address related issues. Additionally, responsibilities include assisting with claim submissions, payment posting, and intake, as well as monitoring aging claims, resolving billing errors, and managing unbilled reports. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and experienced in credentialing and medical billing.

RESPONSIBILITIES: This position is responsible for assisting the Credentialing & AR Specialist lead in management of the credentialing process for providers. Collect and verify required documents such as licenses, certifications, education credentials, and malpractice insurance. Submit credentialing applications to insurance companies, government agencies, and other credentialing bodies. Ensure timely renewal of provider credentials and licenses to maintain compliance with regulatory requirements. Monitor expiration dates and proactively initiate renewal processes to prevent lapses in credentials. Maintain accurate and up-to-date credentialing records in the organization's database or credentialing software. Document credentialing activities, updates, and communication with providers for audit and reporting purposes. Collaborate with other departments to ensure alignment and coordination in credentialing activities. More duties designated by the Credentialing & AR Specialist Lead.

QUALIFICATIONS: This position requires an HS Diploma and billing/credentialling experience. Must be at least 21 years of age and pass background check, physical and drug screening. This position also requires a valid driver's license, proof of current vehicle insurance and reliable transportation.
