Job Details The Division of Anatomy Education, Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University is accepting candidates for Faculty positions, Faculty Track: Teacher Scholar or Teacher Excellence. This position will be based out of the SKMC Department of Medical Education.Primary function: Serve as full-time faculty in the Department of Medical Education, Division of Anatomy Education with a primary emphasis on human anatomical sciences education. Strong candidates will have expertise in human anatomy, including imaging, embryology, microscopic anatomy, neuroanatomy, and the ability to teach cadaver-based gross anatomy. Our dissection laboratories provide the latest in environmental, safety, and instructional technologies. The educational responsibilities of this position will include guiding students through dissections and identification of cadaveric materials, so previous experience in a gross anatomy lab is necessary. Strong candidates will also have experience teaching histology and neuroanatomy using digitized slides and preserved specimens. The successful candidate will be encouraged to expand the scope of educational modalities and should have a commitment to deliver cutting edge content using contemporary tools and pedagogies. Qualifications: Applicants must have qualifications meeting junior faculty rank, however, all levels of qualified applicants will be considered, and compensation and rank will be commensurate with experience.
