POSITION SUMMARY:
Perform hydraulic tests and/or measurement tasks for the Mechanical department. Mechanical: The branch of mechanics that deals with hydraulically based parameters, e.g. flows, pressures and specific loads.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:
*Test Setup - Using schematics to set up testing Components and Parts that are used in Military applications.
*Read specifications from technical documents (Test Standards, Customer SOWs, and Test Plans/Procedures), identify/prepare test equipment.
* Perform Testing - Monitor tests per specifications, interact with customers if needed, troubleshoot, document all pertinent data
* Data Processing - After test completion, verify, review and document all pertinent data. Finalize data and send to the Program Manager
* Other - Perform other duties as assigned
CORE REQUIREMENTS:
* Able to complete advanced technical and mechanical procedures; able to perform assignments that are not standardized or prescribed
* Regular interaction with clients
* Advanced interpretation and analysis of test results; regularly called upon to provide input on test results
* Sound knowledge of Hydraulic pumps, gauges, relief valves, pressure sensors, chambers, etc.
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
*Technical certification preferred
* Minimum 5 Years of experience working with Hydraulics
*Previous testing experience in Military or Aerospace highly desired
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Test lab with exposure to sudden, loud noises
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; climb stairs; balance; stoop; kneel; crouch or crawl; talk or hear; taste or smell. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
