The Opportunity

This opportunity to join the Department of Pediatrics at the Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons at the rank of Associate Professor is an exciting one. Columbia University Irving Medical Center, one of the nation's foremost academic health science center's working together with one of the nation's premier health systems, New York-Presbyterian Hospital.

Key Responsibilites



  • Lead an Independet research program focused on the development of Computational methods.
  • Lead the development and implemetation of data Infranstructure supporting institution reseaerch activities.
  • Secure external funding to support research activities related to computational methods development.
  • Foster collaboration both within the organization and with external partners to leverage expertise, resources, drive innovation and maximize the impact of research efforts.
  • Communicate research findings effectively through presentations, publications, and engagement with policymakers, practitioners, and the public.
  • Lead and/or contribute to scientific manuscript preparation.
  • Provide statistical and analutical support to advance institutional research projects.
  • Provide training and mentoship, in statistical and computational methods to program and in the use of computational methods and data science techniques.
  • Develp institutional data insfrastructure, resources, and capabilities to support research objectives and facilitate data-driven , decision-making.
