The Staff Associate I in the AlQuraishi Lab will be assisting computational scientists in designing algorithms for designing new proteins and predicting the function of proteins using deep learning algorithms operating on the structure of proteins and biomolecules. Duties
- 50%: Contribute to the design of machine learning algorithms for protein design and function
- 50%: Contribute to the curation of datasets for performing machine learning
Functional Knowledge
- Use of lab-specific computational tools and pipelines for machine learning
- Data analysis and applied machine learning tools
- Basic knowledge of Bioinformatics and Protein Biology

Technical Expertise

- Bachelor's degree in computational biology, computer science, biochemistry, or related field
- 1-2 years of experience in computational systems biology and machine learning
