The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. Compensation can exceed this range based on earned incentives.

Position Summary

The Department of Pediatric Clinical Genetics at Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians & Surgeons is seeking a new mid-career physician as Assistant Clinical Pediatric Geneticist or a seasoned physician as Associate Clinical Pediatric Geneticist. This position will involve working at a new, large multi-specialty medical practice in Westchester White Plains, adjacent to New York City.

In this role, you will participate in providing the highest level of care to patients in the department pediatric geneticist.

Responsibilities




  • Assistant Clinical Pediatric Geneticist



    • Deliver exceptional, specialized patient care with consistently excellent outcomes.
    • Mentor junior colleagues, supporting their professional development and growth.
    • Contribute to departmental initiatives, including quality improvement and patient safety efforts.
    • Engage in continuing medical education (CME) and maintain relevant advanced certifications.
    • Serve as a trusted resource for complex cases and high-acuity patients.
    • Achieve and maintain high patient satisfaction scores.
    • Meet or exceed productivity targets.
    • Performs related duties & responsibilities as assigned/requested.


    Associate Clinical Pediatric Geneticist



    • You will provide the highest level of care to pediatric and adult patients in genetics.
    • You will share the responsibility of teaching residents and fellows with the other attending physicians.
    • Specific clinical responsibilities will be determined by the division chief in discussions with you, but in general terms, you will be involved in providing rapid and timely management of patients and dealing promptly with the calls and concerns of referring physicians.
    • This position is 100% clinical and will consist of a combination of ambulatory sessions and inpatient consults.
    • Performs related duties & responsibilities as assigned/requested.

Minimum Qualifications





    • Doctor in Medicine


    Minimum Qualifications:



    • Board certified or eligible
    • New York State Medical License
    • Fellowship training in the respective subspecialty
    • 0-5 years post training
    • 5-10 years post training (Associate Clinical Pediatric Geneticist)
