About the Job

The University of Minnesota's Center for Magnetic Resonance Research (http://www.cmrr.umn.edu/) has an opening for a Researcher to assist investigators with MRI acquisitions on Siemens Scanners (e.g. 3T, 7T, and/or 10.5T). This includes setting up and testing MRI acquisition protocols and assisting with image analysis methods. Scanning of human subjects will also be required. The researcher will be involved with and test any combination of technologies that are used at CMRR, including high performance gradients, high channel count coils, and field monitoring cameras. They would support such technologies for dissemination within CMRR, to external collaborators, and users in general.

Responsibilities:
* 25% - Independently optimize, develop, and test MRI acquisition protocols
* 25% - Acquire MRI data, including human subject data, ensuring quality and suitability for
proposed analyses and scientific questions.
* 25% - Collaborate with other research professionals to analyze results and draw conclusions based on the acquired data. Provide training of MRI acquisition and analysis methods for users as needed.
* 25% - Maintain, optimize, and test new technologies such as: gradients, RF coils, field cameras, and novel image reconstructions.
* Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

All required qualifications must be documented on application materials.
Required Qualifications:
* BA/BS degree in Physics, Engineering, Computer Science or related discipline plus at least four years of relevant experience or a combination of education and relevant work experience to equal at least eight years.
* Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment
* Experience with human MRI data acquisition and analysis
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience with Pulse Sequence Programming on the Siemens Platform (IDEA)

Pay and Benefits

Pay Range: $66,200 - $78,000; depending on education/qualifications/experience

Time Appointment: 75%-100% Appointment

Position Type: Civil-Service & Non-Faculty Labor Represented Staff
