Summary:

The Subject Matter Expert (SME) provides specialized expertise in a technical or scientific field. This role supports research, regulatory compliance, and operational best practices.

Schedule: Standard business hours with flexibility for project-based needs.

Essential Job Functions:

• Provide technical expertise in research and operations.
• Conduct risk assessments and regulatory reviews.
• Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Assist leadership in decision-making processes.

Necessary Skills and Knowledge:

• Expert-level technical knowledge, analytical skills, leadership, communication, problem-solving, R&D expertise

Minimum Qualifications:

• Advanced degree (Master's or Ph.D.) in relevant scientific or technical discipline
• Industry-specific certifications as needed
• At least 10+ years in the relevant field

Preferred Qualifications:

• 15+ years in biodefense or laboratory research
• Top Secret preferred

The annual salary range for this position is $75,000 - $110,000.
