We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Lead Software Engineer to spearhead the development of our enterprise applications. In this role, you will lead a small team of software developers in designing, developing, and deploying innovative solutions that meet the evolving leads of our business. You will play a critical role in shaping the technical direction of our projects, ensuring alignment with business goals and best practices. You will work on exciting projects, future-proof your skills and leverage your expertise in modern web technologies and cloud platforms to deliver high-quality solutions that drive our organization forward.

• Guiding and mentoring the team of engineers in the development and deployment of applications using a variety of modern technologies and frameworks
• Researching and recommending new software solutions
• Contributing to the implementation and enhancement of Generative AI tools
• Leading the technical design, development, testing and implementation of enterprise-level solutions and bug fixes
• Participating in agile development teams to design, develop, test, and deliver business solutions
• Leading and assisting the team with production solutions deployments
• Collaborating with business analysts and stakeholders to gather and refine requirements for software solutions
• Meeting with customers, in person and virtually, to understand business needs
• Overseeing the migration of solutions from one platform to another, including from existing SharePoint 2019 to DoD365 tenant
• Helping to plan and manage a transition to more low-code / no-code solutions
• Contributing to the continuous improvement of our software development processes and standards
• Documenting deployment procedures
• Enhancing the security and compliance of software solutions

• The current client site is located in Alexandria, VA.

• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance with willingness to obtain a TS/SCI.

• Strong foundation of programming concepts; proficiency in languages such as C# and JavaScript
• Experience designing and developing custom web applications using .NET or front-end JavaScript code, CSS and modern frameworks such as React
• Experience in data structure design using various backend technologies such as SharePoint lists, Dataverse, or cloud databases
• Experience with Microsoft 365 and SharePoint Online development
• Deep understanding of the software application development life cycle and agile methodologies
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Capable of assisting with data migrations from one platform to another
• Ability to work well on a team
• Self-motivated; Able to work well on their own with little oversight
• Ability to work well with customers at various positions levels within the government and military

• Experience with Azure cloud-native services
• Experience designing applications and implementing customizations using Power Platform tools
• Experience with SharePoint 2019 and server-side development
• Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
• Experience with scripting using PowerShell
