Responsibilities

Are you a compassionate and creative therapist ready to dive into the world of eating disorders? As our Eating Disorder Therapist, you'll be the guiding light for clients and their families, helping them navigate their journey to recovery. You'll conduct assessments, craft personalized treatment plans, and lead engaging therapy sessions that inspire hope and healing.

What You'll Do:

  • Assess & Impress: Conduct evidence-based assessments for clients at risk of eating disorders. Your keen insights will help us understand their unique needs!
  • Team Up: Collaborate with our amazing Treatment Team to set goals that tackle eating disorder behaviors head-on. Teamwork makes the dream work!
  • Consult & Conquer: Provide case consultations with your fellow superheroes (team members) to tackle challenging cases and explore effective treatment strategies.
  • Protocol Pro: Work with Registered Dieticians to clarify protocols for clients showing signs of disordered eating. You'll be the go-to guru!
  • Support Squad: Help roll out exciting national eating disorder programming initiatives with our local treatment team. Let's make waves together!
  • Family Connector: Be the friendly face and clinical point of contact for families, ensuring they feel supported and informed throughout the process.
  • Therapy Wizard: Facilitate individual, family, and group therapies using our innovative clinical model, including the magical Attachment-Based Family Therapy.
  • Welcome Wagon: Lead Family Orientations, Welcome Presentations, and Family Support Groups that make everyone feel right at home.
  • Assess & Address: Complete risk assessments, safety plans, and treatment plans with flair and within required timelines.
  • Goal Getter: Coordinate treatment goals with the client's team, conducting 30-day reviews that keep everyone on track.
  • Document Dynamo: Keep accurate and timely documentation (assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and more) that meets our high standards.
  • Crisis Commander: Conduct risk or crisis assessments and provide interventions when needed. You'll be the calm in the storm!
  • Team Player: Attend weekly treatment team meetings and clinical supervision sessions, sharing ideas and insights with your colleagues.
  • Data Whiz: Enter and save data accurately using Word, Outlook, EMR, and online learning platforms. Tech-savvy? We like that!
  • Ambassador of Fun: Represent Newport Healthcare at meetings, trainings, and conferences. Show the world what we're all about!
  • Other Adventures: Dive into other duties as assigned-because every day is a new opportunity for fun and growth!

Qualifications

Compensation for this role ranges from $63,000 - $86,625.00 annually depending on education and experience.

We are committed to providing competitive and equitable compensation. An individual's pay rate within the posted range is determined by several factors, including skills, experience, education, and market conditions. Additionally, we consider internal equity to ensure fairness within our organization.

  • Master's Degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or related field or enrollment in Doctorate program from an accredited or state approved graduate school required.
  • Licensed or ability to transfer license in Marriage Family Therapy, Counseling, Social Work, or Clinical Psychologist in the state in which services are provided
  • Experience with individual, family, and/or group therapy with young adults/adolescents
  • A minimum of two (2) years' experience in working with adolescents and young adults with eating disorders required.
  • Experience with mental health, substance abuse, eating disorders, or trauma-informed treatment preferred.
