Senior AV Technician in Santa Clara, CA

What success looks like in this role:

  • Implement and support communication solutions.
  • Set up, configure, test, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot equipment such as microphones, sound speakers, video screens, projectors, video monitors, recording equipment, connecting wires and cables, sound and mixing boards for events and functions such as City Council Meetings, Meeting Rooms, presentations.
  • Perform onsite analysis, diagnosis, and resolution of AV hardware problems for a variety of end users and recommend and implement corrective solutions.
  • Diagnose and correct multi-media system issues.
  • Monitor sound feeds to ensure quality.
  • Ensure equipment is installed according to designated layout.
  • Test and resolve equipment issues.
  • Maintain high level of customer service and high standard of technical execution for a variety of events under time and budget constraints.
  • Assist in developing long-term strategies and capacity planning for meeting future AV equipment and corporate technology needs.
  • Collaborate with organizational policymakers to establish and enforce proper AV practices and procedures.
  • General knowledge of desktop hardware and software including working knowledge of Microsoft applications
  • Ability to resolve very basic/non-complex problems as required.
  • Experience with Crestron and other conference room equipment such as Teams Room and Zoom Room equipment.
  • Support C-Suite Management support.
  • Service Now Ticketing process.
  • Experience Windows environment thru SCCM image install application thru SOFTWARE CENTER
  • Experience Microsoft Office suite of products.
  • Identification and research resolution to technical problems and support to EUS Application issues
  • Support Smartphone and IOS / iPads for outlook setup.
  • Support assistance for AV, video recording and video conferencing services.
  • Support assistance for multicast webcasting/content streaming on internal and external networks.
  • Resolve, document, and follow up on customer related outages and incidents.
  • Advanced desktop level support for AV and collaboration related applications
  • Maintain and track inventory of all AV and video services equipment.
  • Based on Customer Requirements, research and test technology developments and recommend solutions to upgrade and improve current audio-visual technology systems and support services

You will be successful in this role if you have:

  • High School Graduate and minimum of 3-5 years related experience for Level 2 Technicians
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Windows, MS Office, LAN, WAN and basic networking protocols and standards.
  • OEM certifications (Dell, Compaq, HP, etc.), other certifications and/or training as required including completion of CIR5 Core Training
  • Desktop Support in a Municipality a plus.

MUST KNOW:

Products: Creston, Logitech Rally, Teams, & Zoom

Microsoft: SCCM, Active Directory

Must be able to support C-suite executives & have strong communication skills
