The part-time, Flex Team Member opportunity with Blue Diamond Growers may be your answer. This Flex Team Member opportunity will provide you the experience to work 29 hours per week (maximum), be part of the world's largest almond manufacturer in the world and work with a collaborative, engaged team at our Sacramento or Salida sites! The Quality Inspector 2, with limited supervision, engages in the execution of quality and food safety tasks to ensure that it meets regulatory, Blue Diamond Growers, and Customer quality standards. You are a leader in food safety for Blue Diamond Growers and support, role model and help execute food safety and Quality standards for BDG's manufacturing plants. RESPONSIBILITIES: Performs MFG quality inspections Monthly/Daily equipment calibration. Current Good Manufacturing Practices (CGMP), and Glass & Brittle Plastic inspection. Collaborates with Blue Diamond Growers sites regarding Existing Inventory Samples Request (EISR.) Data entry for quality results. Executes the environmental monitoring. Responsible for verifying sanitation. Address non-conformities, prevent risk to product. Performs other duties and responsibilities as required or assigned. WHAT YOU NEED Minimum qualifications 2+ years quality control experience. H.S./GED or equivalent. Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook. Knowledge of food processing and Current Good Manufacturing Practices (CGMP) Ability to work under limited supervision. Receives guidelines from supervisor but is expected to determine appropriate action when handling all but the most unusual tasks. Must be able to work variable shifts (day/swing and sometimes swing/grave.) Must be able to lift 25 lbs. alone or 50 lbs. with assistance. WORK ENVIRONMENT* This is a standard manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, hazardous materials, and heavy machinery in varying work and weather conditions.
