Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Account Manager to join our Employee Benefits Division. This individual will be responsible for managing a book of business, fostering strong client relationships, and delivering exceptional service to mid to large-market clients. The Sr. AM will act as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring their benefits programs are effectively managed and aligned with their organizational goals.
Essential Functions and Primary Duties Key Responsibilities: Client Relationship Management:
- Serve as the primary liaison for a portfolio of mid- to large-market clients.
Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients, understanding their business needs and objectives. Proactively address client concerns and provide timely resolutions to ensure satisfaction. Open Enrollment and Renewal Meetings: - Plan, coordinate, and conduct open enrollment meetings to educate clients and their employees about their benefits offerings.
Lead renewal meetings to review plan performance, present renewal options, and guide clients in selecting optimal benefits solutions. Deliver engaging and informative presentations tailored to client-specific needs.
Strategic Consulting:
- Analyze client needs and provide strategic recommendations for employee benefits plans, ensuring alignment with market trends and regulatory requirements.
Collaborate with internal teams to design and implement customized benefits solutions. Stay informed about industry trends, new products, and legislative changes impacting employee benefits. Account Management: - Oversee the day-to-day management of client accounts, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of services.
Coordinate with carriers, vendors, and internal teams to resolve issues and implement client requests. Monitor plan performance and provide regular updates and reporting to clients. Compliance and Documentation: - Ensure all client accounts are managed in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of client interactions, benefits plans, and related documentation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Proven track record of managing mid-market clients
- Life, Accident, and Health Insurance License for Missouri/Kansas
- Experience managing fully insured, level-funded, and self-funded groups (majority are fully-insured groups)
- Open Enrollment and renewal experience
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, or a related field preferred.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Life and Health License, CEBS) are a plus.
- Proficient in Employee Navigator
