Description
Is an internship passionate about changing the world's energy future intriguing? If so, we might have just the opportunity you're looking for! In this paid internship you will work within a software development team and perform provided tasks by seasoned experts within their field to develop a comprehensive signal analysis software suite to integrate into our scientific-quality power system sensors for long-term reliable contact measurements. High frequency conducted signals can propagate far into the power system and can be detected using high voltage high frequency contact sensors. Standard utility equipment does not monitor the system at the frequencies required to observe. This work will result in voltage and current sensor platforms that meets performance goals suitable for installation in high voltage applications. Software will be developed to analyze and visualize the signals of interest. Reporting to the Infrastructure Security group. This team works a 9x80 schedule, and works onsite at our Idaho Falls campus. Start date and duration of internship vary based on project and student availability. You may be eligible for course credit for this internship if approved by your university. Qualifications
