Launch your career in cryogenics as part of the Superconducting Linac (SCL) Systems Group at Oak Ridge National Laboratory! As a Cryogenic Engineer within the Research Accelerator Division, you'll gain hands-on experience supporting the safe and efficient operation of the cryogenic systems that support the Spallation Neutron Source (SNS). This includes working with cryomodules, the cryogenic plant, and cryogenic distribution systems. In this role, you'll be involved in projects to design, build, and maintain superconducting radiofrequency (SRF)/Cryogenic test facilities, and contribute to research efforts for system upgrades. You'll also support the integration of key helium and hydrogen components critical to the SNS neutron production target, ensuring they perform reliably as part of the larger cryogenic system.
