Job Summary:



Join the Colorado School of Public Health as a Senior Business Professional. This position is a key member of the school's Office of Administration & Finance and will provide fiscal, compliance, academic, and business support for the Colorado School of Public Health (ColoradoSPH) Central Administration, including the Assistant Director of Business Services and all Associate Deans. The Senior Business Professional is responsible for providing independent procurement, project, and operational support.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Act as main point of contact for Marketplace processes and procurement policies; act as Marketplace Requestor for Central Administration
  • Coordinate and oversee compliance of large purchases or payments
  • Manage contracts and process payments for dues and memberships
  • Audit procurement and travel for Central Administration - identify errors and solutions, provide guidance to faculty and staff when needed
  • Act as fiscal point of contact for University's procurement, travel, and expense policies
  • Submit travel and expense reports in Concur; act as delegate for Central Administration faculty and staff
  • Process central scholarships, tuition remission, and late fee waiver requests for ColoradoSPH students at all campuses (CU Anschutz, CSU, and UNC)
  • Provide support to Assistant Director of Business Services on projects as needed, including reviewing and revising business processes to improve productivity or effectiveness


This is a full-time (1.0 FTE) position and reports to the Assistant Director of Business Services.

Qualifications:



Minimum Requirements



  • A bachelor's degree in business administration, business, finance, accounting, or a directly related field from an accredited institution.

    • Substitution: A combination of education and related technical/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for the bachelor's degree on a year for year basis.


  • Two (2) years of professional business administration, procurement, office coordination/management, or directly related experience.


Preferred Qualifications



  • Experience in finance in a Higher Education Institutional setting.
  • Experience with various types of funding and accounts.
  • Experience working with CU procurement and accounting software such as Concur and Marketplace systems.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities



  • Ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and orally.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees at all levels throughout the institution.
  • Ability to administer, effectively plan, organize and direct a wide variety of management and support services with an emphasis on the financial systems areas.
  • Outstanding customer service skills.
  • Demonstrated commitment and leadership ability to advance diversity and inclusion.

Anticipated Salary Range:



The starting target salary for this position has been established as

$60,514 - $75,000.

The above salary represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position may be eligible for overtime compensation depending on the level.
