Description

Take on a key accounting role within the Medical Center Financial Services
team, supporting the accurate preparation of financial statements and ensuring
compliance with accounting standards. Reporting to the Senior General
Accounting Manager, you will perform technical accounting duties, including
preparing journal entries, reconciling accounts, and supporting audits. This
position also involves analyzing financial transactions, maintaining balance
sheet accounts, and contributing to operational improvements through the
implementation of new systems.

In this role, you will:


  • Prepare
    and process monthly journal entries for the University and Medical Center
    general ledgers.
  • Reconcile
    and maintain balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis.
  • Analyze
    expense variances and prepare necessary accrual and adjustment entries.
  • Assist
    in preparing monthly budget variance reports and support annual inventory
    counts and valuation.
  • Provide
    support during interim and annual audits by preparing documentation and
    addressing inquiries.
  • Contribute
    to the implementation of new systems and software to improve efficiency.

Salary Range: $83,800 - $179,400 annually

Qualifications

We're looking for a professional with:


  • At
    least 3 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a
    healthcare or financial services environment.
  • A
    bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field (CPA certification
    preferred).
  • Advanced
    proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and
    ERP systems.
  • Strong
    understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Excellent
    analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability
    to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment while maintaining
    attention to detail.
  • Effective
    communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with teams.
