TITLE: QA/QC Inspector B Bag Checker

POSITION OBJECTIVE: Operate in a safe and efficient manner so as to be productive, while maintaining high quality. Support operations by checking the physical attributes of film and perform functional testing on finished product.

QUALIFICATIONS:



  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Available for overtime for vacation and call-off situations
  • Working knowledge of computer skills
  • Ensure consistent, dependable attendance and demonstrate a willingness to accommodate non-standard work hours as necessary
  • Capable of effectively managing job-related stress and fostering productive workplace interactions



JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • C Level


  • New hire to 1 year of employment.
  • Safety-complies with all written and verbal safety rules of the plant and department including the use of personal protective equipment.
  • Maintains work area and equipment in a clean and orderly fashion. Restocks supplies, changes out utility knife blades. Completes housekeeping assignments per schedule.
  • Works from blueprints, tables, specifications, change orders, established operating procedures and oral or written instructions.
  • Examines for compliance using workmanship standards and proper manufacturing procedures.
  • Uses visual inspection and a variety of measuring instruments to test material tensile strengths, film printability, film seal ability and side seal strength.
  • Complies data, maintains records and prepares reports, making all necessary mathematical calculations. Responsible for detecting and reporting defective goods.
  • Performs calibrations and temperature/humidity readings and records findings.
  • Other duties as assigned by Area Foreman or Department Manager.


  • B Level


  • Must have all of C level qualifications plus the following:
  • 1 year of employment or more
  • Work independently at performing all tasks with no supervision
  • Be able to cover for 8- and 12-hour testing requirements

WORK ENVIRONMENT CONDITIONS SUBJECTED TO IN THIS POSITION:



  • Subject to extreme heat, temperatures above 100 degrees for periods of more than one hour
  • Subject to loud noises
  • Subject to hazards, such as moving machinery, electrical currents, falling debris, exposure to chemicals, high heat or combustible materials



TRAINING:



  • Safety in the Workplace Rules and Regulations.
  • cGMP's and SOP's.
  • Reference Master Training Record for specific training requirements



PHYSICAL ACTIVITY REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION:



  • Stooping/Bending downward and forward by bending spine and waste
  • Kneeling, bending legs at knee to come to rest on knee or knees. Crouching, bending the body downward and forward by bending leg and spine
  • Reaching, extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction
  • Standing for long periods of time
  • Walking, moving out on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly for long distances
  • Lifting, raising objects from a lower to higher position or moving objects horizontally from position to position. Degree of lifting 5-25 lbs.
  • Picking, pinching, typing or otherwise working primarily with fingers rather than the whole hand or arm as in handling.
  • Grasping, applying pressure to an object with fingers and palm. Feeling, perceiving attributes of objects such as size, shape, temperature or texture by touching with skin, particularly that of fingertips.
  • Talking, expressing or exchanging ideas by means of spoken work, via fact to face or telephone
  • Hearing, perceiving the nature of sounds with no less than a 40 db loss @ 500 Hz, 1000 Hz, and 2000 Hz with or without correction
  • Ability to receive verbal communication and to make fine discriminations in sound, such as when making fine adjustments on machined parts.
  • Balancing, maintaining body equilibrium to prevent falling when walking, standing or crouching on narrow, slippery or erratically moving surfaces.
  • Crawling, moving about on hands and knees or hands and feet
  • Pulling, using upper extremities to exert force in order to drag, haul or tug objects in a sustained motion
  • Pushing, using upper extremities to press against something with steady force in order to thrust forward, downward or outward.



VISUAL



  • Machine Operation, inspection, assembly, clerical and administrative duties
  • Position requires individual to differentiate colors, depth and perception
