SUMMARY OF DUTIES

This position will be to learn and process RGA'S, Credit Cards, and post payments from 3 different platforms and the teams' applications as needed.
This is a temporary position that could result in a full-time position, if not it will support a full time Accounts Receivable Specialists

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS PERFORMED

1. Updates the status of accounts, matches invoices with checks received, and inputs cash receipts on a daily basis.
2. Enters all related adjustments to customers invoices.
3. Assists with research to track lost shipments and resolve invoice discrepancies.
4. Reviews aging reports and calls accounts that are past due to remind them of their payment status and to request timely payment.
5. Monitors aging report to identify accounts that are past due and to attempt to minimize the number of accounts that have payments due beyond 90 days.
6. Assists customers in resolving invoicing concerns and discrepancies and services past due accounts while communicating corporate policy and procedure regarding customer accounts.
7. Files accounting information for future use, sends and receives electronic documents, and performs a variety of other clerical tasks to assist the department.
8. Works on special projects when required.
9. Performs a variety of tasks, as required.

SUMMARY OF MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

* Education equivalent to a high school diploma and one year of related experience.
* A basic knowledge of accounting and its applications.

* Ability and willingness to work as a part of an accounting team to accomplish organizational tasks and meet accounting deadlines.
* Willingness to work overtime when necessary to meet financial reporting deadlines.
* Ability to resolve account discrepancies and concerns with customers while professionally communicating corporate accounting policy.
* Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to meet deadlines in a timely manner.
* Excellent telephone and listening skills.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Demonstrated computer skills preferably spreadsheets, word processing, database and other applicable software programs.
