UX Writer & Content Designer

Position Title: UX Writer- Content Strategist
Duration: 6 months
Location: Mountain View, CA (Hybrid)
Responsibilities:

• Design Intuitive Product Experiences: Create clear, user-friendly content that helps users easily navigate and achieve their goals.
• Define Product Vision and Narrative: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish cohesive product narratives across platforms.
• Simplify User Experiences: Apply your expertise to simplify and improve complex systems, ensuring alignment with the product roadmap and vision.
• Apply UX Content Best Practices: Use established style guidelines to create high-quality, consistent content for complex products and tools.
• Support Decision Makers: Contribute to studies, workshops, and reviews to help senior leaders make informed decisions about product direction.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Communications, Literature, Business, Marketing, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• Experience: 7+ years in writing, editorial, marketing, UX writing, content design, or a similar field. Proven track record of leading content strategy projects.
• UX-Focused Product Writing: Experience working on UX writing and shaping content for multidisciplinary teams across multiple platforms.
• Portfolio: Demonstrated excellence in UX writing, showcasing expertise in tone, voice, writing guidelines, and content standards.

Must-Have Experience:

• Writing, Editorial, Marketing, UX Writing, Content Design.

• User-Focused Writing: Passion for simplifying complex systems and creating content that is clear and user-centered.
• Strategic Thinking: Ability to proactively solve problems and unblock challenges to drive progress.
• Independence: Proven ability to independently lead UX writing initiatives, establish frameworks, and manage content patterns and voice/tone.
• Balancing Strategy and Tactics: Strong record of balancing high-level strategy with actionable work for quick results.
• Collaboration and Leadership: Ability to influence and collaborate effectively with both internal teams and stakeholders, with or without formal authority.
• Complex Projects: Experience managing complex projects under tight timelines and coordinating with large teams.
