Think BIG about your career!

Are you interested in becoming a Caterpillar Service Technician with a specialization in Heavy Equipment or Electric Power Generation?

Thompson Tractor offers scholarships for the Caterpillar ThinkBIG program which is a two-year college education program. Thompson Tractor and other dealers in the Southeast are partners with South Georgia Technical College (SGTC) to teach you how to service Caterpillar equipment using cutting-edge diagnostics, advanced technologies, and high-tech tools. The major emphasis of the ThinkBIG program is on heavy equipment engines or power generator repair theory and practical application.

ThinkBIG students rotate every 8-weeks between SGTC and the Thompson Tractor dealership for classroom instructions and hands-on training experience. After 2-years of the 8-week rotational internship you will have an Associate's Degree in Dealer Service Technology with a specialization in Heavy Equipment or Electric Power Generation.

Upon completion of the ThinkBIG program you could begin a successful technician career at Thompson Tractor! Your commitment to your career track may lead you to a variety of opportunities, such as a shop or field technician, to a supervisor or manager role, and beyond!
