This position is responsible for marketing, communication, and external relations for 16 departments and schools, additional interdisciplinary programs, and the College Dean's Office. Specifically the job entails promoting the College's image and brand, managing College-wide communications, preparing College publications, planning community-facing College events, strengthening ties with external constituencies, facilitating the Dean's work with advisory boards, supporting the work of College development officers, leading College level community outreach, facilitating the awarding of College level scholarships, and overseeing other special projects related to marketing, communication and alumni engagement. This position serves as the liaison to advancement and communication branches within the institution, such as University Advancement, Alumni Affairs, and University Marketing and Communication.

$63,500 - $76,655 annual

1. Bachelor's degree or equivalent in marketing, business administration, communications, public relations, English, journalism, publishing, or a closely related field.
2. Four (4) years of professional level work experience in marketing, public relations, communications, brand management, or a related professional area.
3. Excellent written and oral communication skills.
4. Excellent interpersonal skills.

Core hours are 8am to 4:30pm, Monday through Friday. Occasional evening and weekend events required.

The Civil Service examination for this classification is based on your application materials and responses to the supplemental questions. No participation other than submission of applicant materials is required from applicants that qualify to take the exam. If you meet the minimum required qualifications for this position, you will receive a score calculated based on your education and experience, and your name will be placed on the active employment register by exam score. After the application deadline, the names within the top three scores will be referred to the department for interview. The active register for this classification will be voided when the position is filled.
