Overview of the Position:

The VP of Information Technology will be responsible for Wencor Defense information and technology footprint, overseeing an internal team along with managed service providers. The successful candidate will assist the company through strategic and tactical decision-making and provide leadership and direction utilizing the company's Technology Platforms to ensure that the Technology Strategy meets the business objectives. This role requires hands-on leadership, and technical expertise to ensure efficiency, security, and satisfaction for our client base.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:



  • Work closely with the operations and line of business leaders. Deliver world-class technology solutions to further integrate the environments and improve transparency and analytics, delivering customer data, supply chain, and digital business solutions that support the growth initiatives and simplify/streamline the operation.
  • Manage Capacity and Demand exceptionally. Set objectives, communicate clear priorities, deliverables, and metrics to drive and measure performance. Develop and maintain an IT budget for our Defense business.
  • Maintain the global footprint. In conjunction with the Technology Strategy, maintain the footprint of IT Infrastructure: networks, servers, hardware, and cloud providers.
  • Secure the Organization. CMMC Ensures the integrity, reliability, and continuity of computerized information systems, communication systems, and office systems including the security of data acquired and stored. Maintains a comprehensive enterprise information security program to ensure the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of relevant data, while maintaining compliance with applicable standards.
  • Build and grow a talented IT leadership team. Further develop the IT organization to ensure the appropriate functional and business partner leaders are in place to support the company. Develop, recruit, and mentor talent and leverage external partners where necessary and appropriate.



Other Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:



  • Track record as a stand-alone technology leader in a similarly sized company or divisional experience for an autonomous division in a large company environment. Diverse and broad technology experiences and general technology acumen is expected.
  • Well-rounded business acumen to effectively work with the senior leadership team/key stakeholders. Experience in distribution and value-added operations and in business partner roles would be additive.
  • Strong ability to build and manage appropriate security architecture to protect assets and ensure business continuity; demonstrated ability to design and implement comprehensive approaches to cyber security, risk management, and incident response.
  • Deep knowledge of IT Infrastructure: networks, servers, desktop hardware, security appliances, cloud providers, etc.
  • Strong project and vendor management skills.
  • Industrial company experience in a similar multi-site manufacturing and distribution environment and exposure to ERP, supply chain and CRM solutions.
  • Hands-on orientation, business mind, and intensity to operate in an environment that expects speed, agility and earnings growth.
  • Moves assertively without being overly abrasive with focus on a clear and defined path forward. Comfortable taking action to achieve a goal and to hold others accountable.
  • Demonstrates the ability to assess, engage, and attract top talent and align a team to raise performance levels and morale.
  • Demonstrates a high mental capacity with the ability to learn quickly and possesses a strong willingness and desire to work hard.
  • Thinks and acts in a truthful, upright and frank manner.
  • Experience integrating new companies to achieve synergies and drive standard technology tools and platforms is a definite plus.

Education / Experience Requirements: Bachelor's in IT, Business or related field preferred. 10+ years of progressive, IT and continuous improvement experience.

Mathematical Skills: Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
