Job Title: Credit Analyst Team Lead

Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:

As our Credit Analyst Team Lead, you'll not only guide a talented group of Credit Analysts, but also play a key part in shaping how we assess and support our commercial lending efforts.

A Day in the Life:

  • Team Leadership: You'll manage a team of Credit Analysts, focusing on recruiting top talent, providing effective training, and supporting their career growth. Your leadership will foster a collaborative and high-performing environment where team members thrive.
  • Analyzing Financials: Dive into financial statements to evaluate the strengths, weaknesses, and trends in borrowers' historical performance. You'll assess repayment capacity, identify key changes, and prepare accurate credit applications that include thorough collateral analysis.
  • Partnering with Lending Teams: Work closely with loan officers to share insights and explain financial data in a way that informs sound credit decisions. Your ability to translate industry complexities will strengthen relationships and support the success of our lending teams.
  • Staying Ahead of Industry Trends: Research market conditions and industry-specific information to identify opportunities and challenges. By staying informed, you'll help the team navigate the complexities of evolving markets and make well-rounded recommendations.
  • Driving Process Improvement: Contribute to initiatives that enhance the efficiency of the credit underwriting process while ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, and reporting deadlines.

What You'll Bring:

  • 5+ years in a commercial lending environment as a Credit Analyst, Loan Officer, or similar role.
  • A bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • A knack for building strong relationships and explaining complex concepts clearly.
  • Proven experience analyzing data, managing your time effectively, and coaching others.
  • Intellectual curiosity and the drive to stay on top of industry trends.
  • Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
