Summary:
The Sustaining Engineering Project Lead will lead and contribute to product and process change projects for existing Hollister products and processes, focused on both Ostomy & Continence Care. The projects would be primarily relating to Supply Security (stay in business), material changes, cost savings and process improvement projects. This person will possess skills in project management, technical & business process development, communication, and the ability to build and develop relationships. The Project Lead will represent the Sustaining Engineering function at their location and support the on-going development of the Hollister Change Control process and other business processes.
Responsibilities:
* Live the Hollister Immutable principles
* Leads medium/large change projects, including design change projects, to sustain and improve Operations
* Develop test plans, analyze test data, and interpret results
* Assume project management roles coordinating the activities of various groups around the company such as clinical, regulatory, and stability.
* Develop realistic action steps, timetables, and resource estimates for technical projects
* Identifies potential challenges and proactively work to address them
* Actively participate on cross-functional team and supports the completion of team deliverables
* Validates plans within the team and acts on suggestions for improvement
* Supports technical management in establishing goals and strategies
* Communicate effectively and review project outcomes with internal/external customers as applicable
Essential Functions of the Role**:
* Talking, walking, vision, hearing, fine motor skills, writing, lifting up to 30 lbs. (occasionally), and pushing.
* Some, but not all, aspects of this job could be modified to accommodate the physical abilities of a handicapped person
Work Experience Requirements
* 2 to 5 years' experience in a similar position, preferably in the medical devices sector
Education Requirements
* Formal Production / Engineering Qualifications (Bachelor's degree) or similar proven related work experience and/or degree
* PMP Certification is desirable (not required)
Specialized Skills/Technical Knowledge:
* Proven history in project management and project leadership; capable of working independently
* Ability to delegate effectively and adjust schedules and targets on the project as needed
* Uses problem solving techniques such as DMAIC to resolve issues as they arise
* Demonstrates working knowledge of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria in accomplishing well-defined tasks
* Effective communication skills, with ability to articulate relevant technologies and processes to others in the technical group and provide project updates to non-technical key stakeholders
* Solves technical issues using alternative or unique approaches
* Design Controls experience (preferred, not required)
* Previous knowledge or experience in field of Ostomy and/or Continence Care is an advantage (not mandatory)
* Previous knowledge or experience in polymer films and/or bonding technology is an advantage (not mandatory)

The anticipated base salary range for this position is $67,651 - $106,308.The actual salary varies based on applicant's location, education, experience, skills, abilities, and other legitimate business factors.
