The Compliance Analyst's primary responsibility is assisting the Director, Information Security with ensuring our organization meets internal and client information security compliance requirements, industry standards, and best practices. This role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to define and document compliance standards and controls, conducting regular compliance assessments, and assisting in the implementation of these controls effectively. This role is cognizant of new security topics and emerging technologies to enhance our security posture.

How You'll Help Our Team Succeed:

  • Manage and monitor the daily maintenance of Compliance, overseeing logs and event monitoring to ensure robust oversight; assist with review of security events and offenses.

  • Support the development of clear compliance standards to guide organizational practices.

  • Partner with case teams to meet client security requirements.

  • Collaborate closely with auditors during security-related audits to facilitate comprehensive evaluations.

  • Develop and conduct ongoing training programs for staff on new security initiatives, enhancing their skills and knowledge.

  • In partnership with IT leadership, the Compliance Analyst researches, designs, and implements cutting-edge security technologies that deliver tangible benefits to the firm.

What You'll Need to Be Successful:

  • 5+ years of experience that demonstrates increasing capability and responsibility; professional services experience preferred.

  • The desire to take initiative and actively contribute to the team and the firm.

  • The ability to communicate effectively and professionally.

  • Strong business acumen and the ability to learn the firm's financial and operational functions.

  • The mindset to provide superior service.

  • Excellent client service management skills.

  • IT Security certification strongly preferred; options include CompTIA Security+, CCEP (Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional), SSCP (Systems Security Certified Practitioner), HCISPP (HealthCare Information Security and Privacy Practitioner), or equivalent certifications.

  • Additional IT certifications or PMP (Project Management Professional) considered a plus.

  • Bachelor's degree in an IT-related field, or equivalent years of relevant experience.

Cornerstone Research is offering a competitive market base salary for this position. A job offer and its corresponding salary will depend on one's geographic location, and how closely a candidate's skills, experience and education match the requirements for the role. At Cornerstone Research, we believe compensation is more than just a base salary. We offer a competitive total compensation package that includes an annual performance bonus and comprehensive benefits including a variety of healthcare plans, paid time off, transit subsidy, wellness benefits and retirement plan contributions.

Los Angeles: $66,500.00 - $88,300.00

San Francisco: $72,300.00 - $96,100.00

Silicon Valley: $73,800.00 - 98,000.00
