Description

The Operations Manager is responsible for the overall management of the operations for the branch office, development of the staff, compliance with bank policies and procedures, and perpetuation of service standards. Cross-selling to existing clients. Performs all duties within the compliance of the bank's policies and procedures.

  • Manages the day-to-day operations of the Branch Office by ensuring proper operational procedures are being followed.
  • Provides guidance and training to Branch Office personnel on policies, procedures, operating issues, exceptions and adjustments.
  • Enhances client relationships by understanding all of the bank's products and services, initiating conversations to identify client needs cross-selling opportunities.
  • Resolves client concerns, issues and problems.
  • Works with HR on resolving personnel problems, hiring and terminating.
  • Prepares and conducts performance reviews.
  • Performs client transactions such as the accepting of deposits and payments, disbursing of cash, issuing of official checks, preparing of currency transaction reports and placing stop payments.
  • Performs all duties associated with opening, maintaining and closing all types of client deposit accounts and assisting with optional account services, including stop payments, wire transfers, check orders and debit card requests.
  • Develops and maintains solid knowledge of bank products and services.
  • Represents and participates in community events sponsored by the Bank.
  • Maintains proficiency in digital channel technology and possesses the ability to educate clients
  • Identifies risk and escalates concerns through proper channels
  • Completes all assigned BVS courses on time and ensures completion by staff
  • Remains current and adheres to all bank and regulatory policies and procedures specific to position

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent of education and experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in community banking.
  • Minimum of 2 years of management experience
  • Strong working knowledge of Branch Office operations
  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to build relationships
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to think independently and work through complex issues
  • Demonstrated ability to coach and develop others
  • Strong working knowledge of sales office operations
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Competence to exercise sound business judgement
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Capability to handle multiple tasks with attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently or as a member of a team
  • Flexibility and adaptability to travel to multiple sales offices within a business day depending on the need
