TEKsystems is looking for a Desktop Engineer who is interested in moving into a fulltime role in North Aurora area. * Will be an onsite job opportunity 5 days/week. Top Skills * Microsoft Technologies: Proficiency in Microsoft 365, Windows 10, Windows 11. * Active Directory (AD) and Intune: Administration and management skills. * Customer Service: Exceptional skills in handling and supporting VIPs. * Technical Support: Ability to troubleshoot and resolve desktop and hardware issues. * Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with team members and users. * Time Management: Efficiently prioritize and manage incidents and tasks. * Team Collaboration: Ability to work within a small team and independently without micromanagement. Position Overview * Role: Contract-to-Hire (CTH) L2 Desktop Engineer in a Windows environment. * Responsibilities: * Desktop Support: Basic desktop work, device issues resolution, and new employee orientation (NEO) support. * Intune Support: Manage devices through Intune, with occasional exceptions. * Video Conference & some AV Support: MS Teams & Troubleshoot Logitech AV systems and coordinate with vendor AVI for escalations. - PLUS * Exec/VIP Support: Provide backup support to VIPs, balancing urgent demands with realistic expectations. * New Employee Orientation: First point of contact for onboarding, distributing equipment, and assisting with MFA setup. * Work Hours: 8am-5pm, with occasional early starts for special events (e.g., company town hall). * Team Dynamics: Collaborative, small team environment with opportunities for growth and promotion. * Biggest Challenges: Customer service, self-prioritization, and time management skills. ____________________ Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
