As an Accounting Associate II you will be responsible for verifying and posting routine accounting transactions to journals, ledgers or other records and verifies accuracy.You will perform reconciliation of routine transactions and prepare statements, invoices and vouchers.This position usually specializes in one functional area of accounting.

How you'll make an impact:

  • Process and record routine accounting transactions to journals, ledgers or other records and verifies accuracy. Including the posting of cash receipts, expenses or other accounting transactions. Post details of business transactions such as funds received and disbursed and totals accounts to ledgers, computer spreadsheets and databases. Operating a computer to enter data into spreadsheets and/or databases.

  • Compile, sort and file documents, such as invoices and checks, substantiating business transactions. Maintaining records through filing, retrieval, retention, storage, compilation, coding, updating, and purging.

  • Prepare routine invoices, checks, account statements, reports, and other records.

  • Assist other employees, vendors, and/or customers by answering questions related to accounts, procedures, and services.

Experience you'll bring:

  • Associate's degree in Accounting preferred; experience may be substituted for education.

  • Proficiency in the use of relevant software applications and spreadsheets required.

  • Individual must be a motivated self-starter who possesses effective written and verbal communication skills.

  • Must be able to thrive in a deadline-oriented environment.

The base pay range represents the anticipated low and high end of the pay range for this position. Actual pay rates will vary and will be based on various factors, such as your qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role. Base pay is one component of WEX's total compensation package. Most sales positions are eligible for commission under the terms of an applicable plan. Non-sales roles are typically eligible for a quarterly or annual bonus based on their role and applicable plan.
