Positions Summary

The role of the Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ) Administrator is to oversee all distribution activity and inventory management processes that support New Era Cap's FTZ. This position interfaces with New Era's third-party Distribution and Logistics partners, and New Era supply chain team to ensure they are compliant with FTZ and Customs and Border Patrol requirements and that inventory transactions are accurately reported into New Era's ERP system. This position will be based in New Era Cap's distribution site located in Carlisle, PA, but will transition to our new Flagship DC in Bernville, PA, by the end of June (Q2) and early July (Q3) operated by their 3PL partner.

Responsibilities

  • Assist New Era Distribution Management and Trade Compliance teams, and 3PL partner, in developing and refining SOPs to ensure FTZ compliance
  • Monitor distribution center site activity related to physical product receipts, shipping, and inventory movements to ensure timely and accurate processing according to FTZ protocol
  • Perform daily review of system transactions between 3PL warehouse management systems, New Era ERP system, and FTZ inventory records
  • Report and assist in the immediate trouble-shooting of any processing delays, errors, or exceptions that occur in the distribution operation or inventory systems. Escalate issues to New Era Supply Chain team
  • Engage with 3PL site management team to ensure compliance with all building security and personnel management procedures
  • Keeps all sensitive matters confidential
  • Other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Knowledge/experience with SAP preferred
  • Proficient in working with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Strong attention to detail and adherence to accuracy of processes and information reporting
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to build effective working relationships
  • Strong follow-through and the ability address issues quickly
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills across multiple functional areas
  • Ability to quickly, and firmly, interact with 3PL management to address procedural issues or problems

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree preferred in business or supply chain preferred; additional experience in lieu of degree considered
  • Three (3) to Five (5) years of experience in supply chain role preferred, and preferably in a distribution environment
  • Experience working in a distribution environment preferred
  • Experience in an FTZ environment and dealing with customs preferred

Travel Requirement

  • 15% travel primarily between distribution center in Carlisle, PA, Bernville, PA, and New Era Headquarters in Buffalo, NY

The salary range for this posted position is $65,000 - $75,000 (plus bonus & benefits) and pertains to candidates located in Carlisle, PA . Actual compensation is determined by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, education, essential job duties and requirements, and necessary experience.
