The Sourcing Analyst is responsible for ensuring that the CONMED Global Strategic Sourcing Organization offers best-in-class business analytical support to our internal business partners. We are seeking someone with a high analytical aptitude, who loves problem-solving, thrives in a cross-functional working environment, and has a strong desire to work with multiple stakeholders (e.g., Engineering, Commodity Managers, Finance, Marketing, Operations, Quality, etc.). Key Responsibilities:
Data Analysis and Reporting:Develop, monitor, and report savings performance and project status to Senior Management. Support Strategic Sourcing:Assist the Director of Strategic Sourcing and Sourcing Managers with reporting, project leadership, and analysis as required. Project Management:Support book of work review meetings to gather potential projects and provide internal and market analytics in support of strategic category plans. Go-to-Market Events:Lead preparation of competitive go-to-market events (solicitation of bids, quotations, and proposals) with pertinent specifications, terms, and conditions. Supplier Negotiations:Enable data necessary for supplier negotiations depending on category complexity. Implementation Support:Review product availability and/or pricing information with suppliers as part of implementation. Procurement Compliance:Support the design and development of procurement compliance programs that align with organizational objectives and business strategies. Performance Reporting:Prepare periodic category performance reports for assigned categories. Budget Management:Support budget management processes as required for categories. Risk Management:Support risk management activities as required. Tool Development:Develop tools to enable strategic sourcing business processes and standard work. Decision Support:Support sourcing managers in enabling decision-making and strategy creation and execution with data. Cross-Functional Collaboration:Work closely with multiple stakeholders to ensure alignment and effective execution of sourcing strategies. Continuous Improvement:Identify and implement process improvements to enhance sourcing efficiency and effectiveness.
Qualifications:
Education:B.S./B.A. degree in Business, Science, Engineering, or a related field is desirable. Experience:Minimum of 1 year of work experience in procurement processes, technology, and systems (such as Ariba), supplier analysis and management, financial analysis, market analysis, supplier diversity, strategic planning, and integrated supply chain. Skills:
Strong verbal and written communication skills, effective listening, and organizational skills. Strong analytical and MS Excel skills. Proven ability to manage multiple projects/tasks effectively. Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, and ambiguous environment. Experience working with Oracle, Man Man, or related ERP systems. Familiarity with procurement software and supply chain management tools. Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. Basic business acumen to understand and support organizational goals and strategies. Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
Proficiency in Microsoft PowerBI Relevant certifications (e.g., CPSM, CSCP). Experience in a similar industry or with similar product categories. Proven track record of supporting strategic sourcing initiatives and delivering measurable results.
