LAFC On Call Lead Cook Golden Eagle Hospitality/UAS Food Service Work Schedule: This is a part-time position; work schedule is Monday - Sunday; hours vary; this is a non-exempt position. This position is not eligible for benefits. Under the direct supervision of the Executive Chef, UAS Food Service Director, the employee will perform various job duties. Position Overview: Assists Lead Chef in food preparation, cooking, cleaning and organizing for Los Angeles Football Club (LAFC). This position reports directly to the Executive Chef and Food Service Director. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Include the following:
Safety Procedures: Follows all UAS safety rules while performing job functions. Company and Departmental Policies: Reads and follows all policies specified in the UAS handbook and any new ones that are indicated by UAS. Follows departmental, policies, and practices as specified by supervisory staff. Acts as a team player by following instructions and recommendations from the Supervisor or any other superior officer. Mains positive attitude and actions in relation to other employees, e.g. cooperates with others in work assignments and problem solving.
Qualifications Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or two to three year experience and/or training in hospitality/food service industry; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondences and memos; write simple correspondences; effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization Mathematical Skills:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Reasoning Ability: Ability to carry out detailed but simple written or oral instructions and deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations. Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear, and taste and smell. The employee might be required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
