THE POSITION

We are on the lookout for a Clerical Assistant 3 with exceptional organizational and interpersonal skills to perform timekeeping duties. DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Clerical Assistant 3, you will provide timekeeping support to the H1 bargaining unit and their supervisors. You will be responsible for reviewing, maintaining, inputting, and adjusting SAP data relating to employee attendance, leave, work schedules, and payroll. Work includes determining the appropriate pay rules and applying the applicable coding to the hours worked; researching pay and time related issues; and interacting with the Time Advisor as needed in order to determine appropriate resolution. You will have the opportunity to share your knowledge with newly hired employees as you conduct ESS, My Workplace, and payroll orientation as needed. Effective communication is essential as you will be greeting visitors and employees while finding solutions to issues that are brought to your attention.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, upon successful completion of a six-month probationary period. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Bellefonte.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • One year as a Clerical Assistant 2 (commonwealth title); or

  • One year of moderately complex clerical experience; or

  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Additional Requirements:

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Legal Requirements:

  • You must pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements.
